My wife and I were enjoying our g4 1.5 GHz Mac PowerBooks when a visiting friend spilled her glass of wine on my wife's laptop. We had purchased our laptops before retirement but could not replace it due to cost. We bought an older g3 snowwhite 12" ibook that she is still using. Now in March 2007, Bryce did the exact same thing! Can you believe how dumb that is? So......
This site is being created from the principle of lemons to lemonade since we have 2 dead g4 powerbooks. In other words if things are not going well (like 2 g4 powerbooks 1.5ghz systems getting their logic boards flooded) then take them apart and sell the working parts to others on ebay. (tested in our computer testbed first of course!)

The beginning, 1st day of spring, a quite appropriate time to begin. This site will first have MAC parts for sale from my two damaged laptops. PowerBook G4 1.5ghz 15" screen, 80gb drive, superdrive, 512mb memory and everything else except the logic boards. I will then expand into other powerbooks, such as 12" and 17" 1.5ghz aluminums. Next step will be all G3 ibooks & Titanium G4 powerbook laptops.
I will probably stick to laptops due to space considerations as I live full time in a motorhome. We do have a 60 acre sagebrush ranch 22 miles north of Reno, NV. My workshop is in an 8 x 8 converted stroage shed behind my motorhome. It is very cosy but makes a nice place to work on Mac G4 laptops.

We are still on the road traveling until our return to our Reno Ranch April 17th, 2007. I have now purchased my 3rd g4 1.5ghz powerbook 15 inch laptop that wil be my operational working testbed.

May 2007
We are now back at our Reno Ranch and have set up our workshop. We have now officially begun. Our first ebay sale (15" display screen assembly) has been completed and with positive feedback. We have also bought our first damaged 15" 1.5 ghz powerbook and first damaged G3 12" ibook from ebay. LET THE MAGIC BEGIN....

We spent most of this month buying damaged G3 ibook 800mgz 12 inch snow white laptops. I have successfully fixed 2 logic boards and have 2 operational laptops running. Will test for 30 days before listing them on eBay to sell for $300 to $350 as I have no wifi airport boards and am having difficulty in getting the old airport cards. I am trying to find an alternative wifi antenna but have not found any yet.. Oh yes two of the ones I tried said they worked on a Mac but did not!

Not much going on so far this month as the holidays and death of my beloved 18yo cat Eloise have really slowed me down!. You can read my tribute to Eloise and get a glimps of her and all of her beauty...here.

Howdy all, My wife and I are currently retired living off our social security and ebay.

I have been involved with computers since 1959 working for Lockheed. In 1978 I started my own computer repair company for mini/micro computers (Alpha Micro). We offered onsite repair to companies in Southern California (San Diego to Santa Barbara). Our main repair approach was to swap boards and components from known working systems. This technique is still a viable approach and one that I am thoroughly qualified for.

We will also stand behind our working parts and offer full refunds on parts that dont work for you.

It may surprise you that with all of my technical background that my main technique to determine what is wrong with a computer is using dowsing techniques, specifically PENDULUM POWER!
